“HOOK, LINE AND FREEDOM”  AN URGENT CALL TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

Jim Solomon, host of “Xplor the Outdoors with Jim and Patti”, an outdoor radio show sponsored by Sportsman’s Warehouse, that airs LIVE every Sunday morning from 7-9 in Phoenix, Arizona on AM 1060 the Fan and around the globe on www.xplortheoutdoors.com , is once again joining forces with the “Packages from Home” organization that sends around 2,000 packages a month to our troops overseas to bring you “Hook, Line and Freedom”.

“Hook, Line and Freedom” actually just came into being when Jim was having a conversation with Jeff Surdakowski from “Packages from Home” about Jim’s segment “Honoring Those who Honor Us” which is also a way troops are honored on “Xplor the Outdoors with Jim and Patti”.  When Jeff was on Jim’s show he mentioned the troops love for fishing and how they would like to do some fishing, and maybe hold a tournament but did not have the resources. Jim’s response to that was, “No Sweat, we’ll kick it off on Veterans Day, Tuesday the 11^th”.     So, beginning Veteran’s Day, Tuesday the 11^th, sportsmen and women can bring their slightly used or new fishing gear, (rods, reels and tackle), to one of the two Sportsman’s Warehouse’s located in Phoenix and Mesa or the Fisherman’s Choice Pro Shop in Phoenix. The folks from “Packages From Home” will come and pick up the gear and get it out to the troops. That being said, it said, remember it costs money to ship these items out, so if you don’t fish, but want to help out,. You too can be a part of something special by logging onto www.packagesfromhome.org and finding out where you can send your donations.    Don’t just sit there. Get involved!
